I’m excited to share more details about the 50th birthday celebrations in St Andrews this coming April. Emma and I took a trip up to St Andrews a few weeks ago, the weather was amazing, I’m confident it will be equally stunning when we all get together.
Emma and I have booked the fantastic Mitchell’s for the Saturday evening – a warm and welcoming venue right in the heart of town. Expect great food, drinks, and plenty of dogs running around. We have a private room upstairs with some live music and a spot of food.
Earlier in the day, we’ve booked tee times on the Kittocks Course at the Fairmont. I have reserved and paid a deposit for the 18 that have confirmed they want to play golf, if you change your mind, please let me know as the balance will be due in March. The first tee is at 9am.
- Cost: £80 per adult
- Children: Play free
More Golf – As you know I am there for a week and will get more than one game of golf booked. If anyone fancies joining me, let me know, a few people have suggested entering the ballot for the Old Course which I am keen to do. The Ballot is only available 2 days in advance of trying to play.
🌊 Sunday Morning – For the Brave and Stupid!
For those up for a challenge (and a bit of fun), we’ll be doing a Sea Dip on Sunday morning, nothing like a brisk splash in the North Sea to wake you up and cure that hangover!
We’ll aim to organise a spot of breakfast and whisky afterwards to warm up, followed by a walk over to the Old Course for some fresh air and iconic scenery.
No doubt we’ll end up warming up at the Jigger Inn, a perfect spot to round off the weekend.
