When we signed up for the Gamma Ball Rally 2026, we knew there would be a few challenges along the way. Navigating across Europe in a 38-year-old Citroën 2CV? Challenge accepted.

Keeping it running? We’ll do our best. Spending several days travelling together in what can only be described as a very compact French icon? Well… that’s going to be interesting! After a recent test run, one thing became abundantly clear.

Three really is a crowd in a 2CV!

Three's a crowdWith Managing Director Dave Allen behind the wheel, Finance & Billing Director Paul Kinneir riding shotgun and Head of Colouring In Craig Walden squeezed into the back, there isn’t much room left for anything else. Luggage is going to require military-grade planning, and personal space has officially become a luxury.

On the plus side, if the car breaks down, at least we’ll already be close enough to discuss our options!

The good news is that despite the lack of legroom, spirits remain high. The little 2CV has already reminded us that this rally isn’t about travelling in comfort – it’s about having an unforgettable experience together while raising money for two fantastic charities.

That’s why we’re taking part in this year’s Gamma Ball Rally in support of Action Through Enterprise (ATE) and SpecialEffect, two organisations doing incredible work to change lives.

If you’d like to find out more about the rally, meet the team or learn why we’ve taken on this challenge, you can read our original launch blog here: Square One Gears Up for the Gamma Ball Rally 2026

We’ve also now added a link to our fundraising page, so if you’d like to support our adventure and help us raise as much as possible for these two amazing charities, we’d be incredibly grateful for your donation.

We’ll continue sharing updates as we prepare for the start line, including more behind-the-scenes moments, local landmark visits and (hopefully) plenty of miles without needing to call the recovery truck.

Wish us luck… we’re going to need every inch of that little 2CV!
