At Square One Network, we believe great businesses are built by great people – and recently we were proud to celebrate a big milestone.
Ian Carter has officially been part of the Square One story for 10 years.
In Square One terms, that practically makes him part of the fixtures and fittings (premium range, of course).
A Decade of Loyalty, Expertise and Hard Work
Over the past decade, Ian has brought consistency, commitment and deep telecoms expertise to the business.
From supporting customers and colleagues to helping us grow and evolve, he’s been a steady presence through every stage of our journey.
He’s the kind of team member every business hopes to have:
- Loyal
- Knowledgeable
- Hard-working
- And always ready to step up when needed
(He’ll be modest about all of that, but we won’t.)
The Football Rollercoaster 🎢
Of course, no blog about Ian would be complete without mentioning his unwavering support for Derby County.
Every season, hope rises. Every season, emotions follow. And every season, the rest of us support Ian through the highs, the lows, and the “this is definitely our year” predictions.
There are also persistent rumours of a quiet interest in Wrexham A.F.C. – purely, we’re told, from a business and documentary perspective… nothing at all to do with Ryan Reynolds or Rob McElhenney, obviously.
We believe him. Mostly.
A Social Calendar Constant
If there’s one thing more reliable than Ian’s football predictions, it’s his attendance at Square One social events.
Rain or shine. Midweek or weekend. If it’s a Square One night out, Ian’s there. Usually:
- First to arrive
- Last to leave
- And always encouraging “just one more” (which is never just one more)
His social stamina is legendary – and a big part of the culture that makes Square One what it is.
